Friends laughing together in the waves in Santa Teresa

Our story

The Baya way

How it began

“A place in Santa Teresa that feels personal. Somewhere you can return to year after year and feel at home.”

That was the idea behind The Baya House. It was created from a genuine love of hospitality, friendship and hosting.

What The Baya House is

Small, independent and personal.

A woman-owned boutique stay with seven individually designed spaces. Not a traditional hotel and not a generic rental — a thoughtfully created place to stay, cared for by the people who built it.

Staying here

Private, yet part of something small

Your own space

Every guest has a private space to retreat to, each one individually designed with its own character.

A small property

With only seven spaces and a shared pool at the heart of it all, the property feels intimate rather than busy.

Insider knowledge

The best recommendations usually come from people who live here. The Baya House prioritizes local — from restaurants and surf instructors to tours, transportation and experiences — connecting guests with trusted local people and businesses, beyond the usual tourist list.
